What does everyone use to watch vids on their comp?
I was able to produce some very high quality/smaller file size video using divx then put it on myspace.. but when I tried to watch it on an older comp (using realplayer) it wouldn't work so, I guess my question is does anyone use divx?

for the divx file to have sound you have to get a different sound filter codec...AC3 i think it was, then it will work

I pretty sure divx is the more advanced video player compared to wmp, winamp, ect. I don't think it will play quicktime videos though.

Divx is a media codec, you have to have the divx codec installed in your media player in order to play divx or xvid files (most files that end in the title .avi)

Once you have the codecs installed, you can use it for your real player or windows media player, or whatever you want to use... I think quicktime has it installed by default.

Winamp, or windows media player classic (its differenet from the microsoft player).

If you are having problems with codecs, download the codec pack from k-lite. just search google for "codec pack" and you'll find it. The pack has the software in it that will play almost every video type out there.
