first of all, what the hell is a varial flick
secondly, hampson is always linking stuff together, SO it was probably done with the board backwards. It wouldn't be the first time...

| Joey White, the board is always been switched around... evertime someone does a trick they dont find the nose they just do the trick.... ya wtf is a varial flick? im guessing its a spelling error or flick means flip

| parky no way, he's a pro wakeskater. he doesnt accidentally throw a varial flip with the board in the wrong direction its a directional board if you have ever ridden one you woudlnt notice the way the board is, and plus in his tail side of the board he has a fin he wouldnt do that by mistake

Maybe they called it a varial fick because he didn't land it. Just a thought.

| yeah i know he would throw a trick with the nose in back but not a kickflip, i ride the liquid force tech 42 and its symetrical and it would be really hard to do a kick flip with the tail in front, they are such a different shape from the nose to tail

| varial flick = varial flip. if he was just doing a shuvit, why would the board be mostly upside down? i don't think dvs/cassette would need to use false advertisement.

in skateboard magazines sometimes they just nick name a trick. lets say its a 360 flip well they dont always call it that sometimes they may call it a tre flip, buts its the same thing: a 360 degree shuvit spin wiht a kickflip. so just sit back and enjoy it and be like wow that kid is sick he's throwin variel flips now. another thing is that its kind of an unwritten rule that you dont post pictures of tricks you didnt land even if it does look good.

Hey, mellow out man. My theory is they threw it down just to see if it would stick and people would pick it up. But b-rau I've never heard of the term "trey flick" ever been used when refering to a 360 flip.

all im saying is that wakeskating comes from a skateboard background as much as it does wakeboard. flick or tre flips whatever its still the same thing it's just a sort of slang. i guess i just thought that everyone knew, sorry.

fcuk u brow i will analyze anything i want and whats the point of coming on here just to watch us argue our case? telling people from another sport, which about half dont skateboard, to read more skateboard magazines is retarded. i have no problem memorizing a wakeboard magazine and that has no effect on u so dont preach to me about which magazines to read and how in depth to read them... fcukin renob

just about every pro wakeskater skateboards or has some skateboarding background: thomas, hampson, a.reed, byerly. if you watch *asterisk, byerly talks about how they bring there skateboard skills to the water. along with the "trick names" thats what i was saying when they say variel flick instead of variel flip. i do wakeskate, i have a short video on this website.
