Since there's so many threads about snowboard videos I figured we may aswell have a giant one to discuss vids.
Some Favorite vids, Sandbox. A fun video with a bunch of local BC guys so it's pretty rad.
A couple other favorites are Shrediquette, Sandbox, Futureproof, Enscramble, Lame, Paradox. Basically every vid I've seen. Haven't seen one that I dislike yet.
Get talking folks. |

i was just about to start this thread.
my boi kev-o just spent 150$ on vids this afternoon.
we watched absinthe films "more" today. pretty good, wasn't too impressed.
alot of pillow drops. nothing real big. kinda artsy.
seems this years trend was threading the needle on some landings. like landing close to trees and what not.
like it's aboput what/where y'er riding, and not what trick y'er doing.
i'll review another movie prolly tomorrow. |

mario c., yea kinda like futureproof. DCP jumps through trees like between branches. It's pretty sick. Paradox has amazing heli shots from the whistler park. John Jackson has an awesome part in it too. |

one of my favorite videos is afterbang. Super fun, great music, a-1 cast. As I mentioned before I also like the dc mountain lab video...I never got a chance to buy "from___ with love" by MDP but that one was a-1 as well.
I also like the older videos, like any old FLF stuff like critical condition or snowboarders in exile. One of my favorite MDP films is "upping the ante". I will still watch that video repeatedly every winter because it's freaking sick. And the older whitey films are great as well. check 'em if you can.
finally, any wildcat film is fun as well (that's the running theme here). My favorite is probably nine lives. again, there's some good riding, but then there's a crap load of drunken/humorous antics that make me laugh.
OK, one last film I like is the short's film, a young brown walsh. It's shorter, but again, it has good music and a great part from devun walsh.
True life, the resistance...
I'm done. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

I posted the below on here before, so I will post again.
Quote: | Upping the Ante - (In my opinion, best snowboard movie ever. New School snowboarding at its' best. Introduction of Peter Line. Standout parts = Todd Schlosser. The New school era of snowboarding was a great time in my life).
Hard Hungry Homeless - (First real snowboard movie I got into. Made me love Jeff Brushie).
Project 6 - (All about Jamie Lynn. The reason Jamie Lynn rocks)
Afterbang - (All reasons mentioned above. Made snowboarding fun again and not lame. Jussi cab 1080s).
Sexual Chocolate - (Best soundtrack of any snowboard movie. Introduced Company/Team mini-parts).
Melt Down Project - (Rodeos. Dead Kennedys)
TB3 - (Peter Line's part).
Resistance - (First Forum Video. JP Walker)
Whiskey Movies - (This got me through High School)
TB2 - (Terje) |
I did High Cascade Snowboard camp in 1994, and we watched Upping the Ante everday. I met Todd Schlosser the following year, and it was awesome. 1994 on Mt.Hood they built some huge kickers....it was good.
The Garden was a good movie, but not that good. _________________ Life's Kredo = "When the snake falls in love with the spagetti it's time to buy a new hat." & "I guess I need to whiskey up these corn flakes..and heroin up this Orange Juice." |

freerider4, i just watched the teaser and most of the full version.. its bad ass editting and everything but it got really repetitive, it would be sick for an intro.. but the whole video is like that and I didnt see a single motion shot.. i could never get pumped up watching a video like that. |

lake tarpon I agree it is reptitive, but that is why I like the teaser the best. It reminded me of Joey Meddock's captured in a way. |

BRONANZA and SICK
from off your rocker productions. these two videos are great. lots of logslides. most of it is shot in Summit County, usually Vail or the Beav. I lived out there for two winters and hit lots of what's in these two vids so it's real fun to watch for me. |

i haven't been much of a FORUM fan for quite a few years, but their vid for this year titled "THAT" is super good.
travis kennedy gets harshed on alot on the i-forums, but i must say, i do like his gangsta style.
from the 7-8 vids i've seen from this year, FOLLOW ME AROUND, and THAT imo are the two best. |

h0nkey46, just keep it real sheltered when not using it. maybe even some of those handwarmer things that heat up. put e'm in y'er camera case.
when filming but not recording, keep it tucked in your coat real close for bodyheat.
cold can kill your batteries faster too. _________________ www.devotid.com

that is still a video I need to get. I actually haven't bought any snow vids this year yet--still just wakeskating stuff.
Lame is another good video, I'd highly recommend it. anything by robot food is a good video to get...they just make snowboarding look fun. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
