|
|
This is my first summer skating and want to make sure I am on the right track.
I'm basically looking for the best skate to do W2W stuff on. I'm more interested in height and spins than the kickflips, shuvits, etc.
Anyways, I have a hyperlite catalyst that I have been using. Is this the right skate for wake to wake stuff or should I be using something else.
Thanks

i haven't rode as many boards as people on the forums, but the best W2W board i've ridden is the Cassette Bi-level...heavier boards seem to be easier to control in the air IMO...also, the omen looks pretty decent for W2W if you watch any of Danielo's videos

the hyperlites are the best w2w, that's a fact. they're made for it, they're pretty much wakeboards, and grubb goes w2w so much you know he's gonna make his board custom for that stuff. _________________

The knees don't like the wakeboard....I prefer wakeskate wipeouts to wakeboard wipeouts....I would rather break my femur than waste my knee....everybody and their dog can W2W on a wakeboard...I have size 15 feet and I just can't find bindings that fit |

I'd say that w2w stuff, going huge, and doing spins are just as much a part of wakeskating as shuvits. I like tech stuff, but taking a nosegrab 3 into the flats is something else. It's way more fun than doing it on a strappin board because you know it takes real skill. Just my opinion. _________________ √ |

breaking a bone normally does not lead to long term damage but blowing out a knee will haunt you for ever. _________________ l_o/------------------------<l |

| if you break your femur in the right place you can hit a major blood vessle and you could bleed to death. i dont think many people know that but i just found it out pretty recently. moslty because its a common injury in motocross, more people actually break their femur while wearing knee braces, while trying to save their acl. |

breaking your femur is the most painful thing in the world I had to visit a friend in the hospital that severly bruised his and he couldnt walk and was on constant pain meds just for that its no joke, and when he gets to cold snowboarding now his whole left leg starts to ache and he has to stop so its a pretty serious injury I dont think I want either _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |
