Did anyone take a look at the nominees for best trick ?????? What a freaking joke. At least david hanson and blood made the list...............

Who comes up with this crap ? Seriously grubbs acid drop is getting nominated ??? The wakeskate Market is being owned by a handfull of people that just assumed responsibility and untill more people step up and say "HEY THIS ISN"T RIGHT" wakeskating will go nowhere.

ok ya the acid drop was bad but besides that i wouldnt argue at all, just last year nick taylor was nominated, what would you have nominated that wouldve been so much better, i dont think its a joke at all

I strongly agree Grubb is a really good rider but that is not at all worthy. I also agree that we should be able to send in tricks we did. I would have sent the w2w back big indy. but like you said for now it seems the same people will get ALL the exposure.

would it make sense to narrow ones best tricks down to one trick? that one trick being the best trick they did all year.
seems weierd to have 4 chances at best trick.

I was wondering why a few of your w2w shizzle wasnt nominated Drew. It looks as if the manufacturers rule this one. It reminds me alot of skimboarding. I hope politics dont ruin something soooo good. The unexposed riders is where its at. Hopefully in the near future they will be exposed and rain on someones parade.

big country, personally I would like to remain underexposed... i'd rather have my trick in a video with friends then make it be apart of some best trick contest.. i'd hate to be that person everyone says they are sick of hearing about (pastrana, haha.)

Just my personal opinion I guess..

No I hear you but the thing is is that the people who need the credit just dont get it. Ive been skimboarding professionally for 3 years now and I use to skim with Drew every chance we got. Now I see the kid and nick and others that just tear shizzle up these are the people that need the credit not people who get it no matter what they do. Perfect example of this category right here. And you know what these people would say when the time comes up is that they never got the video or there was a problem somewhere when it came out. Or it wasnt soon enough. They want the exposure and their sponsors hype them up alot more than they should be. Please dont get me wrong about these people nominated they are rippers and go out everytime and kill it. But then again Ive seen some contests of these people riding in them and just laugh because of the stuff Ive personally seen while riding with the people I ride with. I know there are plenty of people out there that deserve to be in this category, but not the same damn 5 people with 20 different tricks. Ive just dealt with its not the way you ride its the name of yourself that gets you by and that just sucks for people who try so hard to be something in something they love sooooo much. It kind of brings you down when you have to work a 40 hour a week job just to put gas in your boat and you kill it just as hard if not harder than the people getting nice checks from sponsors. It just sucks

aaron reed won best trick last year with a wake to wake backside bigspin. I don't know if that matters to anyone.

and a 9 foot bomb drop from a moving boat (as in, both boats were moving) isn't impressive? you did see what happened to thomas horrell in pre pop when he tried one, right? he crumpled up on his board like a piece of paper...or something that crumples up in a heaping stack of a mess. but I applaud the effort.

also manufacturers DO NOT rule this. the industry personnell who are allowed to vote (which, did include me, and i have no problem joining the argument/stone throwing fiesta). If nobody has seen your trick, or you don't have video footage, it won't go anywhere. That's a reality in life.

and pirate, if you want my honest truth, I think david is sick and I'm really proud for him, his trick, and his nomination, but out of that batch, I would not vote it for trick of the year. And you might be surprised at who all is involved in this thing. It's not people that don't deserve to be, THAT'S for sure.

esnow...he landed on the other side of the wake...therefore cushioning his landing...how would that be different then doing a toeside shuv to indy 9 feet in the air and landing on the other side of hte wake...just think about it...
