I don't know how many of you check the front page, but there's a press release up for joey meddock and josh letchworth. The two of them are collaborating to make a quarterly wake mag that's designed to document the history of wakeboarding and wakeskating, and each issue will basically cover the previous three months. And i guess once the mag is out, you'll be able to order select prints that are featured in the mag.
Anyway, here's the article http://www.wakeskating.com/showarticle.php?a=499. I'd highly recommend checking out their site because you'll be able to get a feel for what the mag will look like...it looks clean and artsy, I guess you could say. It looks sick, to say the least. And there isn't anything like it anywhere.
Anyway, I'm fully raging! _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

:drooooooool:
I saw this on wakeworld yesterday. Definitely something that I'm excited to check out because now Meddock and Letchworth can do whatever they want. I don't know exactly how much control these guys are given over their shots that are run in the other mags, but them doing their own mag makes me feel like we are going to see the purest form of their art. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground

I'm personally loving this thing. Josh is basically my favorite photographer and joey is really talented as well. The imagery on the site is so crisp...it's just not looking like anything out there. And I think it's going to be interesting because it seems a bit different than a standard magazine. Some people will just throw a wbm or an alliance in the trash when they're done, but this seems like something that you're going to want to keep...almost like a coffee table book or something. Anyway, I know it will be dope and I'm really excited for those guys. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |
