what's my deal?

I learned how to wakeskate last summer in June. I can throw FS shuvs like cake and 90s off the lip. I've landed a few FS 3's but didn't ride off. I haven't landed a legit BS shuv ever. It's really sad. I think my main problem is I don't ever try them and the few times I have I got bored and quit trying. It sucks so bad because I want that trick so bad. I hate falling so I usually only throw tricks I can land but what's the point in progression then?

It's sad that I'm this close to throwing FS 3's but can't stick a BS shuv to save my life.

Maybe I need some encouragement from you guys, something like:

quit being a beach urinal cake!
stop being such a vagina.

This maybe the opposite of what you're looking for but the rare FS 3 shuv is one of my fav tricks.

But....maybe if you didn't pop your collar like a beach you'd be able to land a bs shuv.

The problem isn't my lack of capabilities, it's me not ever trying. i've tried maybe 15 times.

urinal mint, nobody lands a new trick first try. very rarely even 15th try unless its just a variation of a trick you already know.
and you cant have a picture of a guy with a popped collar as your profile pic and try to burn someone about it. that reverses it and makes you ghey

If your close on fs 3's then you have something that most skaters can't do. A fs 3 shuv. A bs shuv, next time your out...cut out...flatten off...wait...now push down with your back foot and scoop the board out of the water behind you so that it lands in front of you somewhere where you can spot your landing and stomp it and ride it out on your heels. I may be reading into things to much but sometimes I wonder if certain motions come easier to certain people. Or if it's just what you spend the majority of your time trying.

My 13 year old brother rarely wakeskates maybe like 5 times at the most.
He can hardly ollie but he's landed two bs shuv's.
He's says it's because he a pretty good skateboarder.
I think it's just becuase thats all he ever tries when he's behind the boat.

Myself, I land fs and bs 180's and w2w's before I landed my first bs shuv.
But the good news is once I got those most other stuff came easier.
If you try 15 more the next time you go out I bet you will stick one.
