except for pimp points, an otterbox or waterproof ipod case works the best for skis i think. just my opinion. |

i'm going to get two can speakers sooner or later. going to put a small amp in the front and wire it via RCA cables to an mp3 player and set it on shuffle. screw a deck/cd player that's really worthless when you can get an ipon nano/shuffle and put it on shuffle and let it play... plus you can hard wire everything to the battery since you won't need extra power for a deck. |

urinal mint, make sure that you get an on/off switch for the amp and that you always flip it off when the jetski is not running or else your battery will be dead in about 10 minutes |

i thought about it, was going to do it. but once you take one look at that battery all your ideas and dreams slowly fade away that battery can barely start the jetski much rather run an amp. now, you could jsut run the speakers off the headunit, but still with that on for more than 5 mins when the jetski is off, you can kiss it goodbye. what i was thinking, is maybe daisy chaining 2 jetski batteries together, or maybe even upgrading to a boat battery. that was just a thought, as i have no idea to do that, or how to regulate the car battery to the jetskis needed 12 volts. its an idea i would love to do, and maybe could do, but chances are i wont because i can afford to mess up my jetski with my crazzy ideas. |

could a another small marine battery power a small amplifier???? have you seen picture 17 on the omen wakeskate website? www.omenskates.com Could you run an ipod to an amp that is powering to tower speakers that are beeing powered by a small amp... that is either connected to a separate battery or to the same?????? _________________ F*** bindings |

i suppose another marine battery could power the amplifier. but then what would recharge the marine battery. those 12 volts wouldnt last long with an amp sucking juice from it. an hookin an ipod to an amp would work with proper wiring i suppose. but in the end that battery has to stay charged or your jetski wont start. i hope we can figure this out, because i want it on my jetskis too |

The second battery should be able to last your set. When you are finished put a charger on it. |

try using an ipod with some of those portable speakers that just have the head phone plug in and mount your ipod up on the gauge displays in a waterproof housing .... i have not tried this and would think it wouldnt be loud enough for the rider to hear ... but you never know untill you try it and those speakers cost like 25 50 bucks _________________ Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for. |

how about one of those big ipod speakers that you put your ipod into. Possibly in a backpack, may work but it doesnt sound to conventional. |

to hear something over the sound of the engine is going to be very difficult. i have 2 different ipod speaker docks adn i dont think either of them can get loud enough without becoming distorted. and if that ever gets wet say goodbye. |

Keep on thinking guys. There are cheap water proof amps on ebay, and cheap speakers. they will most likely be crap but you could make a system for under $75 and then you just need to figure out a battery. I do not have much room in my ski unfortunately. I have room for an amp underneath the storage bin but it would need to be water proof. I wonder if you could get enough power for 2 speakers just running off a deck and no amp? |
