Although it would be even sweeter if it had all the mac keyboard, mouse, etc., I can live with using my older stuff.

btw...

What if this was a total sucess, and they came out with better ones, and in a few years, kids just brought their Mac Mini's to school and hooked them up to the monitors and keyboards that would be in every classroom? That would be so cool.

Agreed, the Apple mice do suck and i really dont know why they havent changed this yet, a good two button is a must.

On a side note... if you want the apple pro keyboard they have dropped the price to $29.00 and i love my apple pro keyboard.

Zack no it does not... but you can run any display on it.

Im not really sure about the single button mouse, i think it was just for the simplicity fact. I actually have seen alot of people that dont use thier second mouse button, myself... i cant live without it.

Aplle really takes use of the drag and drop feature, my only real guess is that they saw no need for the second button because if you want a picture from a source all you have to do is click, hold and drag it to your desktop. or if you want to copy text you can just hi-light it and drag it to your desktop as a instant text file.

Holding down the single button for 2 seconds is like right-clicking

apple's single button mice bug me. i know you can put a different (two button) mouse on it, but i cant stand having only one button. i really dislike the mice that are just one big button (are the newest apple mice like this too?). ive never really gotten the hang of keeping the mouse button pressed when i pick up the mouse to reposition it because it went off the mousepad or what not. its just annoying.

the first types mouse had only one button because back then computers werent very advanced. one of the PC brands later introduced multiple buttons on the mouse. for a while IBM was running 3 button mice, but that faded out and scroll wheels replaced it. mac over the years has set itself apart from PCs by being "different" and "easier to use" than the rest of their PC competitors. im guessing thats why they stayed with the single button mouse. they have multiple button mice for sale on their website, though.
