I'M DOING a sleeve on my right arm, right now its just a half a sleeve, I had a gap missing thats like 3 inches from my armpit to my elbow. I got it all colored in yesterday. it turned out dope/

Congrats. So, what do you put on it during the healing process? I usually use 100% Aloe Vera.

Vitamin A&D ointment. I heard aloe sucks out the color.

Crazy. I've used it on all of my tats and my color's still really bright after years and years of abuse (although I try to remember to put waterproof SPF 30 or higher on the tats when in the sun). What's the name of the ointment you use? Perhaps I should consider trying it instead of the aloe. All I know is that once I used Neosporin on it...thinking it would heal faster...and the tat couldn't breathe through the ointment and caused it to get really nasty and puffy. Icky icky eeeeew!

Its just vitamin a&d ointment. You kow when you first get a tat and they give you that little packet of GOO that stuff is Vatamin a&d ointment. Its only like $1- or something. Deffinetly try it out. Its good for your skin as well i put a little on all my tats even after theyve healed instead of using lotion, (they look better)

Yeah...for some reason the achilles tendon got to me a bit...could partly be because my friend who was tattooing me was talking to me about his exgirlfriend and issues while sinking the ink. Shocked

Let me tell you that the ink is sunk good and deep though and it does look good many years later.

Just now saw the "what all do you have??"

I tattooed the inside of my bottom lip when I was 14 years old (thankfully it didn't bleed through to the other side)...got as far as two letters into the 6 letters I was going to do and my parents came home. Two days after I learned that the ink can sink through so you'll see whatever you tatted on the inside of your lip in reverse on the outside of your lip and underneath. Not too cute on a girl so I gave up on tatting the rest of the letters.

Tatted myself several times on the inside of my ankle with Egyptian hieroglyphs...

which was later covered up with celtic work and ivy by a tattoo artist...

which was later covered up (see a pattern here as I grow older...ha ha ha) by a tattoo that my friend designed and tattooed on me of a lotus (the flower...not the car) around my ankle and down over the ankle bones and achilles tendon with water droplets coming out of the leaves and flames stretching up out of the lotus petals that stretch all the way up my calf (higher in the back than in the front). Kinda' hard to describe but lots of colors (9-10 I think...he blended it really well).

Oh yeah...almost forgot about the Chaos symbol I have in black work on my ankle as well.

What all's in your sleeve so far? Any other tats?

my sleave so far

starting on the on my shoulder i have a Sacred heart with Angel wings surrounded by purple clouds/smoke with a scroll underneath it that has my sons name, (the purple clouds are the background from my shoulder to my elbow), on the Front of my Bi-cep i have a pair of Praying hands with Orange and yellow glow coming off of them wraping around I have my wifes name with blue and shading around it (inside of my arm) and then yesterday I got a "bird of paradise" tatood further underneath kina poking out the back of my arm, on the back of my arm is a Swallow and a Star.

I have a big star on my back with my name in it (its not done and its actually going to be covered up) I have my friend who died's name on my wrist, a shield with "L" in it on my hip, a sacred heart above my knee, and then a Shiel with a sword and a Old knights helmets with a scrool on top that says "in loving memory of" for my dad, His initials are on the shield. and i think thats it.

Good to see you put lots of thought and emotion into your tattoo choices. There's a lot of symbolism behind the lotus tattoo but too much and too personal to post online. Let's just say it sums up my life and experiences thus far quite well.

Does your wife have any tattoos? (If that's okay to ask)

PIRATE, thats awsome, i love to see that you acctualy put meaning into your body art, all these kids at my school last year, turned 18 and got to most rediculously stupid tatoos that in liek 3 years they are gunna look at and be like DAMN IT WHY THE HELL WAS I SOO FREAKIN STUPID!, i like this kid got this stupid looking grinning shark on his arm.. and these 3 kids got these rhasta flags.. like they even know rhastafarianism is, but its ok cuz they smoke weed every day... so they are rhasta. idiots.
