Hey,

I finally got to ride strapless and went wakeskating on the weekend.

Used a buddy's 2005 Hyperlite Catalyst 112. Was pretty fun felt so much looser and sketchier then wakeboarding, but so did wakeboarding when first started.

I tried to spin a pop shuv a few times, first attempt went to spin just fell off haha, second attempt jumped above the board did a kinda airwalk then slammed down on my side on the board haha, third attempt got the board to spin but I was no where near the board to even think of landing it.

Was able to boardslide the wake and do surface 180s though Very Happy

So I'm already looking at buying a wakeskate so can have it when i go to the lake again next weekend.

Also landed my first 360s on a wakeboard and almost got backrolls around so all in all a pretty good week at the lake!

Hey thanks, yeah I can't wait to go do it some more.

I know I will take some flak for this but im looking at the Hyperlite Byerly and LF Armada, I just want to start on something that has foam and is compression molded for durability and a bunch of people can ride on without worrying about the board snapping or people getting hurt.

Plus I'm in Canada and to get anything but a Hyperlite or LF Skate at a decent price (I'm a full time college student) is kinda difficult.

After I get better I will start to have a look at wood decks with grip like oak and lv13 and integritys if wanna stick with compression molded and stuff next year, so don't worry I plan on supporting rider owned compaines in the future.

Hey,

I ride sometimes at Cultus Lake and my parents have a place at the Shuswap so mostly riding up there.

Thanks for the offer to ride the boards! Looks like I can get a brand new 2005 Byerly for under $200 CND so will probably grab that.
