since my old boat has no stereo... here's my solution -

the cooler is not good for stickers... so i'm going to have to do a bunch of stencils
i need to find a old small wakeskate and drill it to the top or something... maybe a skate deck.. maybe nothing..... i'll shoot photos as it progresses.. i'm home all day for the most part today.. and it's raining like hell... so out comes the jigsaw and drills...

i'll just charge the battery at night before we take it out... it's a marine battery made for trolling motors... so i figure it will last the day. as for heat, i thought about that... i guess i'll just crack the cooler if it gets toooo hot.. but otherwise.. just let it play.

i have to mount the battery in there and get few end connectors for the power to the battery for ease taking off the wingnut... shorten the speaker wires etc.. just clean it up a bit... then fiddle w/ some stencils to make it's apperance a little more to my liking.. i'll probably put something else on the speakers instead of those fuel stencils.. not sure..

i guess you can go buy it all at once.. but i've sort of pieced it together.. got the amp on ebay a long time ago.. got the cd player and speakers CHEAP on overstock.com, found the cooler the otherday at big lots for $20! and well the battery was the thing i knew i'd have to get last...

glad ya'll like it.. should be fun this summer

That is the coolest portable lake tunes rig ever! You can take it with you, so the douches can't rip it if you take your eye away to check some babe.

Great work!

RedXIII, he' d just do what its made for, put a bag of ice in it............duhhh Rolling Eyes Smash Laughing

Warlock thats really awesome, thats really ingenious. Oh on the battery, i dont think you'll wana run the battery ALL day long because i had a marine battery taht i used for a trolling motor strapped to a dinghy that id go fishin in. It all depends, trolling motors take up alot of power if youve got it on high so i dont know hat itd be like for speakers and stuff. Good luck though Razz

Dude you have inspired me to make one of these monsters. How much was that amp, how many watts is it, and was it a pain in the ass to cut the holes for the speakers?
