Ok so I have two Yamaha Waverunners ... ones a 98' and the others an 01' ... the problem is that they wont pull me up .. there in good condition and very well kept but it seems they just dont have the get up and go for deep water starts ... so everytime I wanna ride I have to dock start off the nearest rock or flat place on the shore ... its stupid ... im not that heavy .. like 160lbs ... and it used to pull me up but now nothing .. sugestions ..

| First, make sure the pump is completely clear of weeds, seaweed, rope, anything that would get sucked up in there. If its clear and still has trouble, your spark plugs could be defective or fouled, keeping your engine from firing correctly or on all cylinders. Take them out, clean them, and check the gap. You can find the right gap measurement in the user manual. And if that still doesnt work, get some new spark plugs. They can really do wonders. |

Ride_2_Relax, are you geting up like your plowing through the water ?? stand on the board in the water dont have it in front of you like when your learning. Me and engen learned how to ride behind a 92 sea doo that cost 1,200 bucks and weve pulled up this dude that wieghs over 200 lbs. Im 99% sure its you not the sea doo. _________________

Like PIRATE said, try to get your board on plain by pointing you toes toward the jet ski.
Or stand on it in the water |

maybe the ski needs to be serviced? also like pirate said, getting up the right way will also make it easier to get up. _________________ integrity-wake.com | chriscut.com |

Ride_2_Relax, Had the same problem with my 98 Seadoo. All you have to do is just stand strait up on your board in the water with your toes facing the ski, and you'll pop right out. I weigh about 160 also and i can get up fine behind it now. _________________ www.omenskates.com

| getting up the correct way definetly helps but if that still doesn't work there are some relatively inexpensive modifications that could help also (this is after you know it is tuned up of course). You can get an upgraded intake grate, impeller, and ride plate. All of these things would be potentially worth trying out. All can be had for ~ $350. That's much better than buying a new one to pull you up. |

| I had a similar problem with my 2005 Yamaha FX Cruiser. I just started wakeskating (switched over from wakeboarding) and I was attempting to get up basically the same way (board out in front while pwc trolls). I kept bogging down in the water on takeoffs and it seemed the board would never surface correctly. I shortly figured out the problem and was up in no time. Just keep working at it you'll get it. |

I weigh 165 lbs and can get up behind a 15 horse aluminum boat with ease. I think you can handle getting up behind a 70+ hp seadoo man.
Just don't be a noob and stand on top of your skate, instead of letting it float in front of you. _________________ www.sattelyte.com

Ride_2_Relax,
how heavy are the driver and spotter?
Sunday I was behind a brand new Seadoo GTX, driver was 210, spotter 280+
i am near 190,
a bit slow on the start then it kicked in and I was gone. _________________ Dick Dale for President! www.dickdale.com

It will help if the driver is not SLAMMING the gas right out of the hole. You sometimes have to kinda feather it. _________________ woo. |
