hey I dont know if you guys have heard buy there is going to be a rail jam at the x-games! Wakeboard and wakeskate. I found it on wakeboardmagazine.com Wakeskating finally made it to the x-games Smile

stompin9s, well ya the only thing that gets alot of coverage at the xgames is fizzle motox. thatd be sick if they had wakeskating

damn straight they cover fmx and supermoto, skateboarding and bmx get a lot of coverage too.

street skating doesnt get as much as like big air or vert. but still MX has supermoto, freestyle, best trick, big air, and step up. and all of them get like full coverage. its sucks. those guys have balls but it gets pretty boring after a while.
wakeskating (if it is replacing wakeboarding) should get a bit more coverage since its a new event and they want to test it out and see how much people watch.

X-games is so corporate now, not thats a bad thing but it makes the action sports scene a circus. Like tahoeskater said FMX is the only thing that gets attention at the games is because its what sells the most tickets and advertising space for the television. The x-games has gone away from its roots of showcasing action sports, to more of a circus event that wows the crowds for the dollar bills. This took place when Disney bought out ABC and ESPN.

Its the same reason Snowboarding was added to the Olympics because it sells tickets and television advertising. Its good that the sports are getting publicity but the way it is happening is ruining the reason why these sports were created, which is to have fun and in some ways go against the mainstream of society.

I cant complain about all the coverage motocross, its the only sport I like better than wakeskating.

the sports in the x games this year are moto x, bmx, skateboarding, surfing, and rally car. street skating doesnt even get air time.

Ive been doin these kind of sports before the X-Games and I will be doin them long after the people who put it on have diverted their attention elsewhere.

wakemitch, that can't be. Hopefully that just means it won't get live coverage because it takes so long, but they will still show it.
