Skimboarding

Has anyone ever tried skimboarding behind a boat?

yeah it works good if you have a decent board. Some people can wake surf with them.

that is what i use to do insted of water sking i did not know what wakeboarding or wakeskating was and i was doing slashes at 22 mps.

"Skimboating" as scottyb and i called it is what we started with. Befrore we knew what wakeskating was we would go out on his boat, and do doubles, on our skimboards. Im goofy and hes regular, that made if fun cuz we would go on our opposite sides of the wake and spray around and eventually (both skateboarding for many years) we decided to try some other tricks, like shuvs, and 180s and such. So eventualy we were landing shuvs all the time easy, one day Mr. Top Hat, brian introduced me to a acctual wakeskate. I loved it and have never put it down since then.

before i owned a wakeboard or a wakeskate i'd wake skim all the time...it really helps your balance..i haven't wake skimmed in a year and i tried it the other day and just kept slipping out..it takes mad balance. i used to be good.
