hey im in new orleans and they dont like skateboarders. but i managed to land an oversized 7 stair before the guys on the gulf carts showed up. "you cant skate here leave or ill call the cops" each stair was like 10 inches and dropped 5 inches it was challenging. illl post some pics hopefully and can get a good pic before i get arrested.

i live in new orleans.... its not that they dont like skateboarders bub, its that your on private property, its the same everywhere in the world. If i owned a business i wouldn't want a thriteen year old to be doing shizzle on my stairs either.

actually: 1- it can hurt someone if your a n00b. 2- you can hurt yourself and some parents are d-bags about getting on the owner of the property and blaiming it on them. 3- its still fizzle private property.

heartbreaker85, liquid is right. You have to think outside of your own opinions and start trying to view things from opposite perspectives. Maybe it isn't vandalism, as it is commonly thought. BUT, it is dangerous, and lawsuits can get pretty nasty with that shizzle, so people generally try to stay away from it. Sure, some people do take it a little too far, but who cares? Just find other spots, maybe even spots that are legal or at least generally acceptable to skate.

first of all im no noob ive been skating since i was 5 and my parents arent d bags they hate lawyers and so do i if i hurt myself id blame me not them. people are fun knatzies

heartbreaker85, I'm not saying most of us would actually be pricks enough to blame the property owners, i'm just saying that's one of the main concerns of them. And to be honest i don't think they believe most of us would do that either, but all it takes is one or two little douchebags and things can get pretty damn hairy. It's kind of like in elementary school. In some classes, if one kid fizzle up, the whole class had to be punished. Plus, according to skateboarding's history and stereotypes.. We are all a bunch of vandals and cornholes. I think if a majority people would stop continuing that image of skateboarding, things would be a lot easier.
