we watched the dark side of the moon/ wizard of oz thing in sociology.

sometimes you are like "meh", then others youre like "creepy"

but it is cool to see

i forgot the site but theres one that has like 6 or so different song clips from different artist that have hidden backwards messages.

also if you play Tools Latealus CD w/ nightmare before christmas its supposed to sync up with stuff in it.

Sorry, I was a bit vague . . . .

When started in the middle of the 3ird Lion’s Roar during the MGM logo at the beginning of the Wizard of Oz, Dark Side of the Moon acts as a perfect sound track to the film. If you take the time to read about Dark Side of the Rainbow (the name given to this phenomenon), you’d learn that it would have been physically impossible for Pink Floyd to write an album which doubled as the unofficial sound track to the Wizard of Oz.

You can view these types of phenomenon as either just pure coincidence or as some sort of divine intervention. Whether it’s the Beatles, Zeppelin, or Judas Priest, you ask them if these subliminal messages were intentional, and most of the time, they say “No! They just sort of happened.”

Such is the way of the artist.

I choose not to believe in coincidence. When strange things happen, I choose to believe that it is the subconscious’s way of reminding us that it has control.

So to answer the question posed in this thread “what are your feelings on the hidden messages inside songs?” I believe that they are not co incidents; rather, they are expressions of the artist’s subconscious . . . . word! That is what makes art important; it is what our true self uses to express its’ self.

On a side note, don’t you think it’s weird that over 100,000 people have died in Asian from the Tsunami, but very few Animals have been reported to have died? The animals knew something was wrong!!!

jonnyUTAH, I don't know how you can say that it was impossible for Pink Floyd to do that, I've done a little research on the Dark Side of the Rainbow, a couple of years ago, and it seems legit. At some Pink Floyd laser light shows, they often have a screening of the combination of the two media. Sure it could have been unintentional, but all my sources say it wasn't. I guess, unless Pink Floyd themselves actually admitted to it or not, we may never know (and I have no idea if this has ever been admitted).

The Zeppelin thing, I don't know what to think, (I also learned about this a couple of years ago). I do know that Jimmy Page took deep interest in The Occult (dunno if he actually practiced their methods though)

jimmy was extremely deep into the occult. it started to mess with the band. i dont know if those are the actual tapes played backwards

about the Jimmy Page he was definitly involved in the satanist thing, he moved into the house of one of the biggest satanic preiests house, plus robert plant named his kid carsrac or somthing like that so his name could be said backwords and forwards. then gave him for sacrifice, i could be totally wrong
