G.K.D., hahahahah such a funny vid.

I think they are making the right decision. New makes a very solid deck and it lasts. Remote was never going to press boards inshop so there is no better decision.

remote is a good name because the decks are made at a remote location. also, is the symbol a remote kinda pointed at a tv? or is that just my magic eye. question: how much could a press cost? i saw a "skateboard/wakeskate" press on ebay for about 5000.00, but w/o hydraulics.

mojo, a good one is around $5000 but to be successful you need more than one press which means you need about 5 of them and to start a company thats hard to do plus cnc machines to cut them out and machines to produce the graphics so it adds up quick.

NEW is owned by riders so it's not like your getting some random people who know nothing about wakeskating to make boards which is a good thing cause they know what riders want

i want to make my own board so bad. just make a wood press and jack like i saw on built to shred. i'd like to try the hemp sheets and bamboo, plus either some maple or birch. what kinda wood is remote using? will new go back into production at any point?

If new as a manufacturer can keep up with demand, I think they will have something great to offer wakeskating. From the ridden/used decks I've seen up close, they looked like they held up really well, and could actally keep wood decks relevant (with the whole durabilty issue and some brands completely fiznackling this part up in the past).

now i see the "r." I am just getting into wood wakeskates. i am still on the tight rope though. I just think that a wood core covered up is the best way to go, but hopefully i'll win that remote, otherwise i'll get one eventually. the feel of wood is much better, but the idea of warping, water logging, and destruction keeps me skeptical.

I think oaks are the most expensive wood concave right now (with very good reason). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
