i was wondering do magazines put cool photos of people doing wakeboarding/wakeskate tricks even if they fall and dont land it?

depends, theres a bunch of unwritten laws about that kind of photography. In a ski magazine called freeze they wrote an article about it once. All I remember is its ok as long as they land that same trick later that same day during the same session, or something like that. But then again, thats skiing.

I think it depends on the situation. If there's an absolutely sick shot, they may use it. But if a rider simply doesn't give them anything to use, then I know there are situations where they won't use them. But as an example, remember when wbm used that shot of drew's (darkslide)?

i don't think they wanted you to think that either, it was in the very back under the "last blast" page.

but i do think that magazines would use pictures even if they didn't land it.

That one was just an example, but they did have a few people wondering because they didn't answer their own question.

But you know, sometimes the lighting is right and the trick is sick, and sometimes that's what stills are all about. It would only "kind of" bother me if it was some groundbreaking trick and the photo would be misleading. But whatever, whatever, I digress.

you know, ive been thinking about this for awhile, and since i choose to think of my wakeboarding and snowboarding magazines as snowboard/wakeboard porn, i will just ask you guys that if you think about whether or not you look at porn and wonder if the chick rolled off the bed or whatever after she was done with her pose. either that, or if she got nasty herpes from grouch because he told her that they went away. f'in bastard. i really wanna kill that guy. but back to my point. yeah. just look at the picture for its photographic sake. look at the curves and the tones of the skin. crap. no, wait, look at the colors and see how he tweaked out the grab. yeah. thats it.

ok guys, back to work. i'll add more later maybe. who knows.
