All the wakeskating comps ive seen were just one category for men and one for women but there isnt any levels of experience or ability. Do they ever have seperate categories for skill? Or is everyone together which makes it so you have to be really good to even do any good in competion.

I have a question about competition format for wakeskating...
How many falls are permitted? Does it work the same way as wakeboard comps? or are they a time limited run?...
Never participated in one nor attended one unfortunately... any advice much appreciated... thanks...

Kian, it is tough, but that is why you practice for the competition, and stuff, get ready for it. Prepare, and get all your tricks consistent for the compititon, unless your just going to have a great time and hang out and not so serious about winning. Use your 2 falls or something on something you dont usually land if you landed everything you have...thats the thrill of competitions, you never really know how it come too, until you ride, and see how it goes. Some hate competing, some love it, its all a thrill to me, its exciting just hanging around all day, even more so if your in it...Sorry was that kind of off topic?
And o yea, About the poll...I have, on the cable only though, have only wakeskated behind a boat once or twice.

x2xwakegurlx2x, thanks for the comments... appreciate that...
I've participated in a wakeboard comp before and remember this anxiety and excitement that you're talking about.... and yea it can be fun...
I've stopped wakeboarding about a year and a bit ago and have been wakeskating ever since.. but I still struggle with consistency... its like a fall every 3-4 tricks on average... haha... how that bids for a comp?... i dunno... guess it means 6 tricks tops...
How are you guys/gals doing for consistency?

We had at the Swedish wakeskate nationals, a format that included both a kicker and a 7 meter long rainbow rail. You could fall 3 times.... Awesome comp!
