i remember when the scurf boards came out... this lead to the wakeboard.. which ended up providing the wakeskate.... i'm a short line slalom skier (somewhat shortline anyway)

No, but I used to kneeboard, slalom, and barefoot. This was like when i was 10 to 15 before I discovered wakeboarding. All seem really gay, but I think it helps me do anything on the water including skate. All I do now is skate, it's the best thing I've ever done without snow.

Yeah, I used to do all kinds of skiing...my parents raised me behind a boat. My mom actually set a new state trick record for Missouri last year for her age division. I was decent too. Before I quit I was almost landing flips. When I hit puberty though I dropped that nasty ski habit. As far as helping out...hell yeah. Any time you are behind the boat its gonna help. I know for a fact that it helped me a great deal as far as learning handle passes. I am not embaressed that I used to ski, it wouldn't change anything if I was. Now days all I do is skate. Sometimes though I will still put on a pair of trick skis and just do 2 wake fasion airs and Jordan impressions..just for 5 min or so. Good cheese.

headhunter is full of it nick , he has strapped in a couple times, first when I was trying to teach him to get up on the skate & he couldn't so i had him strap in and learn to get up, after that he was able to get up on the skate, and another time behind my boat soon after he started riding, he got w2w first try, pretty impressive. right after that he retired. I myself enjoy a good strapping one or twice a year.
