Has anyone ever tried snowboarding on the water or used a wakeboard on the snow?

id think a snowboard would be too flexible in the water, and a wakeboard would be too stiff on the snow.

the big problem is surface area. i think the roam is just about as flexible as a snowboard (maybe less due to size though). but snowboards are just too thin to have the surface area to deep water start. i think a land start could definietely be possible because ive seen people go down small hills then come to a little set up pond at the bottom and hydroplane across. but if you really tryed deep water start with that thin a board you'd drown like an unwanted puppy. ive tried with skateboard decks... lot of water up the nose.

i meant the roam is about as fexible as a snowboard, but planes off because of it's size (mostly width).
and jacob did tell me he saw someone who managed a dockstart on cable with a skateboard,(probably works because of high rope and high torque) but it wont happen deep water.
and plus even if you managed to get up on a snow board beach start or on cable, youd only be able to ride straight cause if you tryed to turn it would be really hard not to catch an edge.

a buddie and i took one of his older wakeskates last year on the snow. first off we tried to ride it down a hill but it was a lot harder than it seems. then we took a rope and tied it to the back of a car and drove around an empty parking lot. didnt work the best but it was a lot of fun.

last night on fuel, a guy was kite boarding with a snow board, so looks like you can snowboard on the water, actually I already knew that, me and some friends tried to do it a two or three years ago, it is mega flexy and too much toe drag, kinda a waste of time, when I saw that on fuel it brought back some memories

What's geeky is it took me 2 minutes to find the pic because I knew exactly what issue it was in.
Itch, I've never seen murray snowboard on the water, but I"m sure he's done it. but this one is chase heavener. And please, give it up for my lousy cropping job...
Speaking of snowboarding, I bought some new mittens today--the grenade jeffy anderson mit...
Here, the other pic is one of my favorites. It's from 97 or so, and to me, this was as close as you could get to snowboarding on the water...it's timeless. Grant Gettens was way ahead of his time...

I rode a snowboard at a cable lake before. A friend brought it to TSR during the first cablestock I believe. Either that or a similar event. Anyway, I could only go heelside most of the time and I had to FIGHT to go toeside on the snowboard. (Also, her bindings on the board were SMALL, I had to use all my strength and a bottle of that binding stuff to get in). It took me a few hours, but I finally managed to hit the blue kicker out there. Unfortunately only a couple people saw me. I was going to try it again but blake stopped that from happening. He was cool about it; the metal edges on the board didn't exactly scream obstacle friendly for him.
