Does anyone know what happened to that old video of Andrew? I think it had Houston Calls - Bob and Bonnie as the song. _________________ 407-212-7425 |

We don't get along anymore, but I've always thought that Travis Doran had some of the sickest kickflips in wakeskating.
electricsnow, Danny's kickflips from the Asterisk/PrePop/Such is Life era were so powerful, and really brought flick to the table in a time when people were amazed by someone flipping the board over with any means necessary. I modeled my first kickflips after Daniel Lovett's, since they were so mechanically simple & didn't require too much pop or extraneous motion, but once I had a good grasp of making the board do what I wanted, Danny's '05 flicks were the ideal I aimed for, especially leveling out the rotation with the front foot & catching at the peak with the back foot. Lacking a skating background, my flicks have always been rather contrived, and they still vary depending on how much conscious effort I put into rolling my foot... Years after drooling over those videos, I was able to ride with Danny pretty regularly during our mutual time with Oakley & those kickflips were even more magic in person, even without the 4-trac under his feet.

how does 8+ years of riding and still never landed 1 sound for consistent?
haha not to discourage, I'm just making fun of myself. But I think realistically you are gonna need to be riding consistently (several times a week) and need at least a season full of tries/fails |

Redheadd, Just depends on how comfortable you are on your wakeskate. Some people rush to learn kickflips and will have a hard time landing them consistently or at all. If you are already flipping the board consistently and your body and handle position are under control they won't be too difficult to get dialed in.
Good luck and let us know how the progression goes! _________________ http://projectsports.com.br

He's being honest. I don't think that's weird. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

Yeah odd. But odd enough to derail the whole thread to find out the beef between the two? Only time will tell. |

mank the tank, Blake has some amazing kflips, and those shorts in the last edit are the real deal.
nick, Im interested in the story behind you and Travis....
but btw your kflip in this edit at 1:09 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc0ZzPC1sdo
crisp.
I think a silhouette of 1:13 should be the new ws.com logo |
