Russian, I know what a skurfer is...but for some reason it kind of looks like a kneeboard in that pic...Dam I guess thats what being around the cable with kneeboarders all around me all the time has done to me. ...I think kneeboard before skurfer. O well.

I'll upload a pic of the original yellow skurfer soon, and the fashion air is legitimate on as skurfer NOT on a wakeboard in my oppinion...

I do believe your onto something there:
| Quote: | | Improving upon the noseslide capability of the 42" 4-trac from last year, both of the 4-trac's offered this year have a 6 fin hole pattern, making tailslides, manuals and even bluntslides possible. |

If you are riding a 4-trac with the fins in the "noseslide/tailslide" position and you ollie on to a box and ride across it while balancing only on those 2 fins then it is a legit manual. This is currently the only way a manual is possible on a wakeskate. You can do nose manuals or regular manuals. The aspect of the trick that makes it is the balancing without any portion of the deck touching the surface. This means that surface manuals cant exist. The only way they could is if some type of hydrofoil truck system was created (like a sky ski or air chair). To say that what Aaron Reed is doing in the picture is a manual is incorrect. That is the equivalent of skating down the street and dragging the tail.

Man, i only know a few things:
1) every single thread within that thread gave me a headache.
2) it is still rad to see what people like gore were trying to do over 10 years ago!
3) these topics are why i absolutely had to have a nice gate in my wakeskate collection.
4) nick taylor would grow up to become one of my top three current favorite/inspirational wakeskaters.
