|
|
I moved into a neighborhood with a lake i can use so i'm really trying to buy a waverunner. I really want to spend no more than 2500 but i understand i might have to spend 3000-4000 for a four stroke. what waverunner would you guys suggest i look for in the price range that'll be a reliable, solid pull. (four stroke)
thanks in advance!
or possible 2 strokes i guess i just had a couple of people tell me getting a 2 stroke would be a bad idea
any advice is appreciated |

As someone who has been working in PWC dealerships for the past 5 years...
For the budget you are giving yourself, you cant go wrong with a good VX series from Yamaha. The VX series is inexpensive, reliable, and will last forever (if taken care of properly). They start at 110 HP which is plenty to pull just about anyone around. I am 170 lbs and was riding behind one that had a 160 lb driver and 200 lb spotter. And it was a hammered rental that was pretty aged and abused. _________________ Resyn Wakeskates

My brother had a 2000 Kawasaski 1100 Stx di. Had it for 3 years, the first two summers we used it a ton and it worked awesome. It was a 2 stroke and had lots of power pulling a skater even with a spotter on the back. Had no troubles with it for the first two years but the third year we had nothing but problems, and for some reason no place around us could fix it. That being said it worked super good for the first two years but had nothing but problems after that. It would probably be in your price range tho.
My parents ended up buying a seadoo wake this year and that is the best machine I have ever ridden behind. I know it is out of your price range but you may be able to find an older seadoo wake that might be affordable. |

I would stick with Yamaha either way, Sea-doo's seem to be nothing but headaches and $$ pits _________________ They call me Dr. Jones

2500 Johnboat > 2500 Jet ski
1.Better fuel consumption
2. More room, people dogs, skates , shoes , beer
3. Stay out after sunset
4. Depriciation :after wakeskating on a ski for a while its going to be rough, you can still get a great price back out of an aluminum hull john.
5. The wake is better.
6. Fishing
I also have a Polaris MSX ski. I do hear that the Yamaha and the Hondas are great skis for the price. |

My jet ski I have for sale. I know its a little high in your price range but we can work on that. I literally put all the hours on this thing from wakeskating. Jet ski was a beast, I just dont ride anymore and I have a boat now so no need for the ski anymore. Also im located in palm beach gardens so its easy for you to come check out |
