What is everyone doing (if anything) to get some of the newest wake videos on DVD so you don't have to watch them on a computer? I'm talking like good ratio, human rocket, etc. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

You can put any movie file on a flash drive and watch on your TV if it has a USB port. Most new TVs have a USB port. My moms got a 1TB Hard drive plugged into her TV which I update with new movies/shows for her frequently. I don't even have cable cuz i do this too. |

Oh E-Snow, you're too old school. I haven't watched a dvd in years.
There are a couple of options, one is streaming the video to your tv, two is attaching the files to something connected to your tv (this is probably the better method).
1. I have an Apple TV, and it lets you stream wireless your display to the tv if you have a mac or you can buy AirParrot software to do the same thing on Windows with an AppleTV. You can also stream if you have a gaming console (ps3/xbox 360 or newer) except maybe the nintendo ones, I'm not sure about those. You need your computer running but there are tutorials on how to do all of this on the web. This is all dependent on your local network, so if you are trying to stream hi def wirelessly from a computer across the house, it may not work very well.
2. Direct connection. Connecting your computer to your tv is probably the cheapest b/c it just costs a cable. If you have a gaming console or some other device like a Roku 3 you can plug in usb devices (external HD or thumb drive) and they will play the files off of that. Like Alex said, there's a chance your tv has a usb port and can do this also. |

I'm thinking more like at my cottage where I don't have any of those possibilities. I love the new videos, but I find it completely frustrating to not have them on DVD.
I guess I am old school in that regard. _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

electricsnow, If you have a mac then you can just add the downloaded movie to iMovie, set a default menu and burn it. Super easy... if you don't have a mac or can't figure it out let me know and I can burn you pretty much any video and mail it to ya! |

Yea mank the tank, could I get a copy of the 1980's classic
I've watched my VHS copy too many times and the tape has worn out the images. |

Damn you and your 80s references WERDna. Next, you're going to say I'm old because I'm familiar with the lion king.
Also, I have radical videos on VHS.
mank the tank, I do not have a mac...I may have to take you up on that offer. What kind of program do I need to achieve said goal without a mac? _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

esnow, you're better off getting some sort of external storage that plugs in to the input of your TV.
It will save you hours of your time and hundreds of your dollars. _________________ 407-212-7425 |

electricsnow, You would need some sort of dvd authoring software such as Encore but it is pricey. |
