|
|
So my old DVS wakeskate shoes are getting old and falling apart. So here I am looking for a new pair. any pair at all! Come to find out ive spent the last few hours searching the web only to realize almost every brand has stopped making wakeskate specific shoes.
Does anyone know of any new shoes in a size 10 that still exist?

wakemoto4, Honestly dude, most of the wakeskate-specific shoes that were put out over the last 10 years have tended to be less durable, less comfortable, more expensive, & feature atrocious colorways... Most of us have comfortably reverted back to using our favorite skateboard shoes (I think half of wakeskating right now is riding in Nike SB Janoski's) & it's become the widely-accepted norm.
I guess what I'm saying is, wakeskate in whichever shoes you want to... Riding in shoes that weren't specifically made for wakeskating isn't going to hinder your performance on the water

I liked the Reef Byerlys. Before they fell apart, anyway.
These were the worst (at least from an aesthetic standpoint):

integrity640, how could you put up with those? Once wet, they weighed roughly 10lbs each. Plus that liner thing was just absurd... just sayin.
Your old skate shoes (unless completely thrashed) make the best wakeskate shoes.

Do people still drill holes in their shoes? I always thought that was silly.

do those shoes last? with the water and everything? the last shoes (as crap as they were) when submerged in water broke apart. i saw some globe shoes a while back that were specifically waterproof, is it worth getting these? or are any shoe good and going to withstand the water? wear and tear isnt an issue

Anyone know where i can pick up a pair of the old original braatas? The only ones i can seem to find are lower quality canvas that appears flimsy compared to the support provided by the first ones on the market....
These are the type im looking for:
and the bottoms look like this:
The cheapy canvas ones im finding have standard nike SB bottoms.

I bought a pair of the turquoise shoes on ebay based on pure nostalgia of nick in more than machines. Wakeskating does that to me...
But yeah,,i'd check ebay.
