Does anyone have a recommendation for a new prop for Mercruiser alpha one 3.0l. The boat is a Sea ray 180 sport 2005.

I would recommenced you go down a pitch. If you have a 14x21 i would go to a 14x19 or if you have a 14x19 go to a 14x17. The next pitch down is much better for towing people. You will get on plane quicker and save fuel at towing speeds. The prop that comes stock is great for all purpose, but if you are mainly towing than you should drop the pitch and you will like it much better.
By dropping the pitch you will lose a little top end, but its not a big deal.

Turning Point and Solas make much better props than Mercury/Qicksilver and they are cheaper too.
And you might as well stick with Aluminum. Stainless doesnt do anything for you unless you are racing Smash
