How not to film your winch session........

So we went out sat. Decided to try a sweet idea. Attach the go pro to the line.
Reasonable idea. But not tested enough. So of course it took a dive the first pull. 1 hr 49mins of wading around in the cold we found it. Got it home, dropped the files on my desk top. Then a few hrs later i decide to clean my desktop. threw away the wrong gopro files Evil or Very Mad

no clue how to recover files that have been deleted
Crying or Very sad

but if i did it would be twice resurrected footage Laughing

atleast i still have the gopro Cool

any tips on getting deleted files back?

It can recover deleted files. Only problem with it is that they will not be called the same thing anymore. Like if it was called sweetvid.mov it will be fdhsjkafhdkjl&%%%sweejfdknvid.mov or something crazy. Instead of wading around in cold water it will be wading around in a mess of files.

try restoring files from your recycle bin?

well i think i just deleted them. i found everything from the recycle bin. no new footage

i suppose if i really needed it i could just drop the go pro in the water and try this whole thing over Laughing

search google for flash media recovery software. I've used some in the past and they've been able to recover deleted or lost files.

my theory is that it never made it to my desktop
