Interesting, sucks because Electric and Volcom were one of the very few brands still out on their own but probably a good call financially (at least for the people who owned the company).

Volcom was always the anti-company, now what?

R6aries, I don't think prices will go up so much as quality will go down and prices will stay the same.

They'll go the same way as Reef did when VF bought them. They'll be more present in big-name department stores, be giving less opportunity to the small shops, and reducing the quality and innovation within the brand.

All that's left now is Billabong and Quiksilver as the surf-industry titans.

GnarShredd, no matter what given a little time, this brand is going to suck.

you know i have no idea what is going to happen with the company, but just like with everything else, i'm not going to buy it unless it's fuggin badass. so volcom better step their game up otherwise i'm out.

hopefully they don't kill cool contests though, like the kickflip a surfboard one.

I quit buying name brands years ago. Mostly because of the ridiculous cost.
