That thing is beautiful, and it's crazy how well it's made!
Ok, the delivery guy just left and I'm probably too excited to be objective, but seriously, I wonder if you can you beat the quality and the artistic value of Erich's decks. And once you have dealt with him, you know why his company is so much respected...
If you guys are interested, I'll post more pics when the (clear) grip job is done.

POPTART wrote: | you'll love this board | Thanks 'collegue'. I can't wait to try it out... I hope its weight makes it a lil' bit more predictable/forgiving than my Lemons (which I love) Oh wait... the Cougar is a Lemons too...

POPTART, am I wrong with the 'more predictable' assumption? I hope I can ride this week-end.

Grip job done. Clear grip sucks more than I thought though.
But there was no alternative.

damn, I just think the top sheet on that deck is so cool that I think clear grip is totally appropriate.

I have clear grip on my 08 tnt. In your pictures the grip almost looks like plastic. I found this store on eBay that has clear grip that has the same grit as black grip tape. PM me if you want a link or pictures of what it actually looks like.

POPTART, man, you are so right!
I went to the lake today. This skate is one of the very highest calibre (shape, design, manufacturing, graphics, etc.). It's worth every penny. What impressed me the most is the spinning though. Totally effortless and predictable (almost like in slow-motion). I think a good example is that my technique sucks but I did a shuv without looking downwards at my feet. Cause I knew where she was...
I now realize how demanding the "old" Integs actually are. Fast, super responsive, fun and all, but - in my opinion - a little bit too "nervous" and unpredictable compared to the Cougar (I would never sell my Lemons '05 though).
But the best thing is that I could also test Nick's board. A friend of mine (a girl who LOVES wakeskating) just bought the 38.65 (pics). At first, I was very skeptical because of the lenght. All I can say is that the Excelsior is kinda "magic" too, and that the lenght isn't an issue at all.
It may sound weird, but I don't know which one I prefer (same for my friend), maybe because the lake was too choppy to compare? Both are sooo responsive and - at the same time - smoooooth and "reassuring" (does this word makes sense?). My bad english won't let me elaborate on the comparison anyway, but Grouch posted something about this weird hesitation in an old thread.
Hope this post makes sense.

Paul, totally, man!
for my understanding (I've got a simplex and the 09ltd 38,65) the simplex (I think the constuction of the core is equivalent to the cajun or at least similar, so their weight tends to be somewhere close together) behaves a lot more predictive under choppy or windy conditions (due to its weight) than the tnt, where as the tnt is a lot more precise in the way it executes your commands (due to the lower weight you don't need as much force to initiate a trick, yet you have to be quite on point with your movements) under glassy conditions.
when it's just a little choppy at our cable, I'm already having a hard time pulling off tricks consistently, but once it's butter I can hardly believe how well and precise the tnt can be operated (hence I consider the tnt a precision instrument).

COUGARRR.
I love everything about the board & just need to skate it more to get some consistency on the landings. I slip out more than often because I'm used to a slow drag. Still, love everything about it.
