This years films?

The wakeskating scene was blessed last year with outstanding videos throughout the season. Films like FunBoots!, Aquafrolics, and Scallywags left people speechless. This leaves the question, what's in store for this year? I know there's people with cameras all over the scene making it happen but what exactly is there to expect? I've heard of films like "More than Machines" and "Washed Up Before We Were Has Beens" and rumor has it that theres an Integrity film in production? All I can say is that I'm stoked for whatever this season brings footage wise, people are throwing crazier and crazier tricks every week.

I know a film being shot called "Gas Money" and I'm pretty stoked but have yet to hear any sort of release date...

I just watched asterisk* and Narla, they made me REALLY excited to see Aaron Reed's part in the Obscura video.

I'm looking foward to both of this year's major vids--obscura's vid and of course tad's project. I expect nothing less than radness from the obscura guys and we've gotten to see how much work tad is putting into his new vid, so I don't think it will disappoint on the progression and variety front.

It's kind of funny how, for awhile there, there were quite a few wakeskate vids coming out in one season. now it's more like 2004 or something.

anyway, one other video that came out last year was first breath.

The Obscura Video is going to be really, really good. Trav and Grant are going to blow minds and we all know Danny and Aaron never disappoint. I'm stoked because I know their video is going to be a completely different feel from my project, plus a ridiculous amount of bangers.

*Nate, I think people are going to be speechless when they see the progression going down behind the winch this year.

electricsnow, Danny's part in first breath was rad. And I was thinking the same thing the other day, I think we are just missing the 420 crew and Scene One this year. Rumor has it Keith lives under newspaper on Wallstreet.

tad, totally TOTALLY agree about danny and first breath. it was cool that he ended up with two different edits. Cool

That's for sure "the" section in that film for me.

scene one and 420 are missing, but one other big one is volume. they were a big reason why wakeskaters had multiple videos available in one season. but towards the end I don't think they were very good...I don't know if they had as much to work with, resource wise or what.

I like it though. It seems like (and I'm hoping) that this year it's really going to be quality over quantity. And then in the future we have a remote team vid to look forward to. Cool

electricsnow, I just watched Danny's part in FirstBreath and I'm gonna say I can never get tired of watching him ride.

tad, I'm looking forward to your video, the Winter Throwaway was a very very clean edit. I like that style, and the More Than Machines teaser was crazy!

and then hopefully Integrity and Remote release a team video....

anyone notice how wakeskating is becoming a little more organized instead of MONTAGE videos coming out, it's team videos that are starting to come out just like other sports....

First Breathe was great, Ross's and Danny's part were my fav.

I would love to see a Integ/Mutiny video but it seems like they are not so keen on trying to get that done. Their part in fill in the blanks was pretty much non existent, and even in such as life... the riding was great but the music...eh.... We have never really seen an integ vid with the full potential of integrity. They have been one of the more popular boards for a while now with some of the biggest hitters in the game. I think Mitch from for the gator needs to get on that and really do some work because everyone would love that, especially on this forums.

I love watching A.reed ride so i cant wait for the Obscura vid, thats gunna be incredible. That alliance thing with A.Reed and dirty cracker was awesome to watch, i loved the little sfumato lip lines haha so awesome.

And tads vid is gunna blow minds, i think im the most excited for that. >Machines <3<3<3<3<3 Smash

that little teaser and stuff have gotten me so stoked.

I don't know. wakeskating started out with only team films and then people were more excited for the compilation style films to come out becuase it showed off more riders. I don't have a preference for either style of video over the other, but I do like professionalism and creativity in videos. Aside from riding, that means more to me than just about anything.
