Hayden R, It looks like they just sprayed adhesive on it and sprinkled on some white rocks.

interesting, some skateboard companies like Arbor use clear griptape. Arbor's grip is actually made out of recycled glass

Wake and Wake, A local skate shop where i live actually ran out of black grip tape once. I had to get clear for one of my boards.
