thanks everyone for all the well wishes. the only thing keeping me sane right now is my therapy because i know it's helping me get back to riding, and watching wakekate videos everyday.
injuries suck so bad but i guess it's just something we have to deal with.
OTT Productions, that video made me cringe so bad. heal up brother.
Slapdown, i hope i can come back better than before. i just know those first few times out i'm going to be taking it easy. i'm a little fearful from that fall and i was doing some carpet shuvs the other day and my bad leg is so weak i can barely get the board around.
juggler, man i know! you have it wayyyy worse than i do. i believe yours just happened a few days after mine. but just keep rehabbing and thinking about how it's helping you get back on the water. so far my rehab has felt pretty good to help get those muscles going again. and i know the phase you're in is extremely depressing. i was very down when i was on crutches and couldn't do anything. once they brace you up and you're back to walking it makes things alot easier to deal with. i'm sorry you got hurt man. i was hoping to be able to meet up with you at odub when i was down there and ride with you since we talked about it on the ship that one time hahah. heal up soon brother.
Raven, i'll be eating those wheaties!
and to everyone else that has gotten hurt recently just work as hard as you can on the rehab. i just think of it as helping me get back to skating so i work on it as hard as possible! |

lightly skimmed the thread, but im in the same boat.
Just found out from the doctor that my lateral meniscus is non existent at the moment, that their is bone trauma over the years where i actually had bone on bone contact with enough force to cause "bleeding" and a small "crack" or two and that she is 86.7% sure that my ACL is shredded.
So I'm going into surgery soon for my meniscus and while she is in there if the ACL needs work she has the green light to go for it and patch me up.
Season over.. but i come back with a new knee and drive to ride again.. plus my nephew will be at the right age to start shredding.. he can already ride a skateboard and swim so should be just right to start the water dancing _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |
