You need more than a week for drilling pilot holes Shocked
And like clockwork, the german troll pops his head out and mis-reads what Erich has said in a thread about Integrity wakeskates then runs for cover behind the fact that English is his second language.

Mine are straight as arrows, 9" apart and 9.5" from the nose/tail... I think it's comfortable, but most people think I'm off my rocker[/lame board specs joke]

At 9.5" from the nose, my lipsticks sit "literally" a few inches (towards the nose) from the line in the rocker that defines the nose from the body of the board, which is where Erich got the 11" stat...

can't you make an option in your eshop, skates with or without pilot holes? it was the same story with the normal fins, skate with or without normal fin holes.

I think this could be a good compromise, if you could put an option on the shop to select what you would prefer.

Cause custom stuff... and certain requests... can take weeks to build... and we are trying to stay away from making you wait.

thats why.

These holes make no difference in how the board rides. I don't understand why you wouldn't want them.

I don't use lipsticks (right now) but whos to say i wont by summer? My Simplex doesn't have these pilot holes and I'm not too great with a drill so i know if i try to do it myself i'll eff up my beatiful board. So basically what I'm saying is even if you don't want them, it doesn't effect the ride of the board and you may need them in the future so don't worry about it and appreciate them for the potential they hold Very Happy

Schmaltz, I've been kind of out of the loop for a little while, but I just got a couple questions as I plan on ordering a TNT 38 Monday.

Are the colors done by size? Or can I get the 38 in red? I can't find a color option on your site.

Also, are these ready to ship, or is G.K.D. a special case?

whats up Jama?... yeah haven't seen you around for a while...

We currently have (2) 38.65" in stock... and (1) 39.39" in stock ready to ship.

the colors are done by size 39 red, 38 teal

changing a red 39.39" to a 38.65" would be something I really want to stay away from... and if we did do it... it would be a custom order and could take at least 3 weeks to get it done... because of order ques ahead of it and special instructions which throws off our production.

i know it's hard for some to understand why it's a problem... but everything is color coded and programing files are associated with the color... so if a red pre-pressed plug comes to the cnc machine operator he goes ... ok, red i run the 39.39" program to cut this out... well if it was meant to be run in a 38.65" program... now that plug is ruined... so that plug needs to be flagged all the way down the line... or babysitting it and making sure it's pulled aside and fit in when we can... it takes extra time and energy... that's why last year it took so long to build and ship... this year we want to build up stock so no one has too wait very long.

Custom orders are what killed us production wise last year... and pissed some people off... everyone had to wait even if 1 person wanted something custom...

Schmaltz, This is not a "custom order" question, just a question for the future. Are you going to make lip sticks in other colors? I was wanting red, but they dont appear to come in red. Its still cold here, so I wont need any for a few months. Do you plan on making them in any other color in the future? Or should I just order a color option you have now?

That 11" is measured from the center of the lipstick, your lock-in space will be less then 11".

But the reinforcement on the board will be longer, where you can move them up some or back some if you chose. The pilot holes will be in the center.

I say go with the pilot holes for sure.

soy escuala, thanks for clearing things up a little.

Schmaltz, I will vote YES mos def cause it took me well over five hours to measure, drill (12mm), fill (epoxy) and redrill (6,5mm) holes into my '09 ltd and simplex.
reenforcing is a very good thing as the stress on those zone is enormous. I even reenforced my lipsticks by putting thread inserts (http://www.kerbkonus.de/proddb/print_tecsheet.php?print=true&itemno=347000060160&status=ensat-sbd&ds=20&gewinde=060&lang=en&pgc=3470) into the urethane.
