Just wanted to share a little customer service story with ya.
So after breaking my vinyl last year, which was the board i spent two summers on. I never really cared for the vinyl i just got it for cheap and delt with it. So i went on a search to find a new skate. Well I had the hardest time trying to find a board that i liked and if i did find one that i liked it seemed to break way to easy so on to the next. During this whole process i had been riding my girlfriends 40" oak and liked it but just knew it was not the one, so i got a horan and decided it was good loved the concave and kicktails on it but was just two long. So after trying some other boards during the course of the summer (zarial, caty 2.0, sst, legacy 39, and some others) i knew i wanted something in the 39-40 range with alot of concave which seemed really hard to find. I found one company that i thought was going to be my saving grace and after some really shiznackle customer service i decided to not even mess with that company. So once again my search was on, finally i found a good deal on a devotid onward 38 here in the classifieds, got it in rode and absolutely loved it, i was a little hesitant on the size but it was perfect. Well come the second ride a cased a w2w and snapped the tail. Called devotid and got a hold of Kevin that day. So i talked to him for a little bit and figured out that the top deck was not under warranty since i bought it used, but he got me a really good deal on two new top decks and grip tape. All in all after dealing with a lot of company's and seeing there customer service firsthand im going to have to say Devotid rocks and they will have my repeat business time and time again. Mikey from oak also did an amazing job when i was looking at the chubby to, so major props to him to.
Sorry for the long post but after all this i felt like devotid deserved some props. |

Good post and I agree. Both Mikey and Kevin are pretty awesome dudes. They really love the sport and it shows. Further proof that wakeskating will live best with the companies who truly support their customers. |

When Windsor failed to ship a skate, Devotid offered me one for a better price. When the top deck snapped after the 3rd run, Devotid offer me a great deal on a new one. Unfortunatly I did not have the money and wasnt sure if i felt like maintaining a bi-level, but still, Devotid has the right idea. That is a good way to build brand loyalty.
Haven't heard from them for a while though, if they were selling their new mounting system, I'd probably be riding my bi-level again. |

you guys are very lucky because I can say exactly the contrary, they've used my money to make the Movement pre-orders and I've never received the board, it's been 2 summers now, I kept trying to get a hold on Kevin and he keeps telling me he will do something and finally never does. Now he says he's lost all his emails so he's not sure about this whole story... ahah I can't believe how you could do something like this especially that I am on the Movement thread here since the beginning. So enjoy it you're lucky, I wish I could support this company but I still wait for them to answer my emails and either reimburse or send me MY board.
have fun! _________________ ^ barontieri.com ^ |

BARoNTiERi, dude your full of shizzle. i also pre ordered that board and i am in the same situation but to say 2 summers come on. i still have the original email from when the per orders went on sale and that was last june. how does that add up to two summers. 10 months maybe but not 2 summers. if your gonna bash somebody at least get your facts right first. |

you re right dude 10 months... seems long though. here in Montreal summer is very short and it starts just now, my point was it sucks and I'm happy for those who have the chance to ride their boards and things are not always so bright. and I don't think it'll make a difference anyway in just 2 months from now. _________________ ^ barontieri.com ^ |

Are they around? I've tried emailing but its been two weeks and no response. They said they were going to ship me a top deck (splitting ply) in september because of bad glue in some production runs and i haven't received and email since.
I should try phoning before i get to worked up. |
