(Update) Finished the project today, really like the way it came out and am stoked on paint pens, plan on doing a bunch more stuff like this. Pics from blank to prep paint, sketching and filling in. Finished with a couple coats of clear and she's ready to go, almost don't want to skate it.
Got a new blank deck yesterday and want to put a picture I drew on it. Problem is the deck is black so even if I redraw my sketch I will have to use paint pens or something to color it in. Not sure how well they will even show up on the black. Was thinking white spray paint then draw and paint. I guess my question is how should I go about this and what should I paint with?

Soulprogression, definitely find a clear coat to throw over it so it doesn't smear everything the first time you slide somethin _________________ if theres no future in it, at least theres a present worth remembering.

Stencil it then spray paint it white. After that use an air brush for all of the colors and detail. finish with clear. _________________ It wasn't me |

or take some white chock and rub it on the back of your sketch. then place the sketch on your board, take a pencile and trace over the lines and you'll have a white outline on your board to fill with paint pens! _________________ ashley.

LiquidForce71, I've been riding it a little, no real harm done, but think I'm going to look for a new blank today, I just really like this deck.
skimboarder, If you are serious I will take you up on that
Guy, thanks again for the idea, they really sparked some creativity in me, never knew I could do anything like that.
-=AlexXx=-, drew that sketch at a strange period in my life, kinda reflects some of the crazy shizzle I was thinking about haha
Thanks for the props everyone think it is going on a wall or something after today, maybe one sesh at the skatepark before I put her up for good. |
