What makes you think people's opinions are going to be any different this time around? It's just gonna be the same five people posting the same five things they did last time a legalization thread came up.

I never really listen to much ron paul had to say before, but that what he was saying was deffintly persuading me, and i am by no means a pot smoker, ive done it maybe 3 times, but more then 6 years ago. He made alot of sense, and i agree with that state regulation. I never thought about that, its so much easier to get weed then alcohol.. unless you got a fake id or somthing.

i agree with ron paul, alcohol and marijuana should be dealt with on the state level.

i recall when i was doing research on the drinking age change back in the late 80s, Louisiana or some southern state felt strongly that it should be 18 and didnt enforce the federal law of 21 until the fed gov pressured it to comply.

in another thread about legalizing pot, people argued that the tax would be too high and they'd just grow it themselves. yeah you totally could, but just because alcohol isnt cheap doesnt mean everyone is out there distilling moonshine Laughing

i think it could be beneficial for states with huge budget deficits.
