lumpy pants, Not much power can be made from an 2JZ without a turbo. And any mod's I'd want to do involve having to have a turbo. So my first mod will be a T61. It's not as big as all these t80's you see on supras, but I'm building a street/track car, not just trying to get big dyno numbers on a show car. just want a nice turbo with not too much lag, but will still make good boost on highway pulls. I've turbo'd a few of my older cars. Here's one of my old s13's. it was a flooded car in Katrina. i redid the interior with new carpet and S14 seats, had a silvia lsd and i dropped an SR in it, then upgraded the T25 to a gt2871r. It was an amazing car, but it just wasnt streetable... really bumpy and loud, no A/C. But REALLY freakin fast!
I started driving my moms BMW from time to time and was hooked on having a luxury car... but i was still addicted to speed so i fell in love with VIP styled cars
so my goal was to build a luxury car, maintain a/c and comfort, but still have a crazy track car! I love it!
here's a pic of my old s13

HAHAHA! oh man, the question is, where does a 2jz finally stop making power? stock they arent much, but as soon as you start waking them up with a few mods, they get nasty. youtube some supra videos and you'll start to get an idea.
ninja edit: i wanna run a PT61. i *might* be able to hang. how much boost? _________________ R.I.P. JT- we all know you're slayshin up above, smack the lip off a cloud for us!

I don't know bro, street ported 13b with a t70 sounds fast. plus an fd is lighter, gotta think about weight and lag. it would be a good race for sure. a very fast race.

Saturday will be a competition consisting of a short practice in the morning, and followed by a tandem competition.
This event will be a Midwest Cup Series event so you will earn points towards winning the season. This year the top drivers of the MWC will be invited to a final event (location TBD) at which they will compete with various other top drivers in the US (more info coming soon).

Michael Manzer, Have you dynoed the fd or gotten any times on it? I had a streetport on stock turbos that ran right around 360whp on 12psi. It ran 7.9 at 93 in the 1/8 before the port job, but I never got a chance to run it after. Those cars are so fun. I'll get another one someday. _________________ I'm no scientist, but I do drink a lot of booze. |

You're right. But what's the point of having a sexy car when it spends 85% of its life in a shop with a blown motor! -2, 4 mazduhhhh
That's why people do this...
burrrrnnnnnnn. No lie tho, I LOVE FD's. my dream car is a VIP inspired FD with a 2jz swap. Exotic as all hell.
