There used to be a program that you could download called the national inventory of dams. I can still get on the main page of the website but it wont let me into the actual program which was a complete database of every single dam in the U.S. It would let you zoom in and out and would give you some stats on the dam, such as height. It was the greatest dam location device I had ever seen.
I think access to it is no longer allowed as the U.S. has strengthened there national security requirements. Google it though and tell me what you guys come up with. |

It should also be said that alot of what we as wakeskaters would be looking for to session is built by landscape contractors. _________________

nick, ive known about this site for years, I always assumed others did too. I wish I would have taken more advantage of it and showed others when it was available sorry........
It showed ever dam but also was still very hard for locating via roads. There was an option that would display roads on the maps but it only showed major roads and interstates. However I do believe it gave gps coordinates. I remember looking at texas and it was absollutely covered in spots. |

I like it better that it's not just handed to us... spots would get spoiled too fast.
I'm not saying that wakeskaters shouldn't know their local winch spot, but having all of them handed to us is a bit too easy... _________________ √ |
