just needing a little help to get the last bugs worked out. we're using a 6.5hp briggs, 12t tav, #35 chain and a 60t sprocket. also have 600ft of rope.
it deepwater starts me fine on a wakeboard. a wakeskate is a different story, takes about 35 yards...
we don't have to deepwater start everytime but would be nice to have. i weigh 178lbs(6 ft.). it deepwater starts my 125lb. buddy on a skate no problems...
what adjustments should be made? i'm thinking a bigger sprocket? |

DirtyCracker,
wakeboards have a lot more buoyancy and size compared to a wakeskate, how does that not make sense?
anyways, i think i'm going to go with a 72t sprocket |

i'm running a 35 chain, tav, and a skip tooth 56t. with about 900' of line and the spool's inner diameter at 6". it'll deep water a 180lbs pretty easily and quickly. do you have an adjustable spool? if not i'd say make the inner bigger, or try the stage 1 mod. it took my 6.5honda to about 8.5hp or so and it's just a new jet, air filter and a couple other parts. how wide is your spool? mine is 5" _________________ "I said take me to the sea, cause that is where I want to be. | wouldn't you want to make your spool diameter smaller to get more torque? |
