i dont see how tightening the hardware on the SST would be any different from tightening up the hardware on your skateboard when it comes loose. skateboard hardware also has threaded nuts to keep them from backing out, and since none of the current wakeskates on the market use the same hardware, locktite seems to be a viable solution for now.
i've used the removable locktite (the blue one) and it's worked so far, hopefully others will find it successful for them as well.

It sounds like LF is very good with warranties, so if these are breaking as much as people say they are then at least you know you will get another one in time. I plan on getting the 40.5 and I will make sure to get some locktite before i ride it

Yeah LF is very good with warranties! Also the LF seller here in Italy is a very nice guy! I went to change the board and he kept me there 3 hours trying to figure out the problems and how to resolve them. He also gave me a LF Control for FREE to keep it as a test board in case anything else happens with this SST.
I have nothing against LF! Thats why i keep buying them. I learned to ride with LF and i'll continue using them as long as i can.
It's also very nice to hear from you Aaron!I'm sure you spent hundreds of hours of your life to project that board and i know how hard it is.
Obviously the photo i uploaded wasn't a LF defect but a MANUFACTURER defect due to wrong temperature-glue-pressure. Maybe you should have some words with them.
I have last years Impulse which is still perfect. I hope to finish this season with my SST and next year tell you that it's still perfect too!

wakeskatedude, Da hast Du den Nagel auf den Kopf getroffen!!!
It really is a joke!!! how come all the smaller manufacturers that build wooden skates (and even bi's like devotid) don't have that much trouble with warranties and such!? LF should really consider setting up a better type of quality control for their skates.
and the thing with the loosening screws: loctite will solve the problem of losing screws but will not stop the hardware from working itself into the bottom deck. It's the same with skateboard hardware - you have to tighten it once in a while because the screw heads dig into the deck. stress cracks and eventually broken boards are pre-programmed (but shouldn't occur within few hours of riding with a quality made board)!
sorry, but those are the facts. and definately, asking why deadlines are missed and deliverance is not possible is not a way of bashing. those are serous questions to be able to understand what is going on!

It's obvious that the europian skater thinks diffrent then the american skater.
wakeskatedude, I agree on wakeskates breaking after 1 set are a joke, there is no way arround that.
people skate in diffrent ways, so you can't judge others by the condition of your own board. Caus iv'e seen 2 cracked up 06 ltd's. they both didn't last very long.
bachlonso, whats up man

Its the begining of a crack... Exactly as my first sst.
I opened it to put some locktite. Then i rode for about 2 hours. I dont know the conditions now. I'll wait for somedays and then i'll take a look.

I dont know whats going on with your guys' decks.

| -Supra-, no. the sst bottom deck has the same outline as the 42 reed skate(asymmetrical). that faction is symetrical and is very similar in shape to the kampus k-series.

| jeffino, both the 07 and 08 SST have a 9-ply maple wood bottom deck.

jeffino, i would assume so. ive ridden and checked out both decks and they seemed identical. unless they changed manufactures recently they should be the exact same.
has anyone broken a production 07 sst?

So even if their product is vastly superior to everyone elses, they would still have more bad apples than anyone else merely based on numbers alone!
Let's keep this thread constructive so that people with issues can get them taken care of. Bitching about product being late or how LF is some awful company is really lame, and it isn't making guys like Aaron stoked to log on and check out the site.
