The Captain, i wish you were that would make my life complete. almost as complete as if austin pastura was a permanent orlando resident. oh we could only hope.

i think that cwb is trying to get on track with the wakeskating revolution. they are legitimately making a board that is sick. they are putting more r&d into it than any rider owned company can afford to do. you cant judge prototypes. wait for the final product. than make your call.

hey guys,
the way I look at it is. We are in an industry that is rapidly growing, basicly it can go one way or the other. It will either continue to grow and overtake wakeboarding which it seems to be doing. or it will get a little bigger and level off. Thats what happened to wakeboarding it grew an grew and now its at a plateau. You can maybe add a grab or one extra 180 but thats where it is. only so many people get into wakeboarding because of who it targets. the boats need to have a certain wake, the boards can be up 500plus, it just comes down to its kind of expensive.
Where as wakeskating is a differant story, you can ride behind anything that can pull you up pretty much and have the most fun you have ever had, trick wise we havent done even close to half of what will be done, and you can get boards way cheaper. so it is inevitable that we will surpass wakeboarding drasticly.
So a few years ago bigger companies were seeing a growth and strenght in wakeskating. these were top wakeboard companies such as hyperlite and liquidforce ect.. Well they got good riders such as Grubb, Byerly, and A Reed to help produce better wakeskates that would further help and progress wakeskating. So half the boards out there that put our sport even where it is came from wakeboard companies. Even Byerly boards is half wakeboards, look at ronix. So are we really going to look at a company like CWB who is realizing the progression of the sport and is wanting to put there share in by picking up an amazing rider and having him design a board. And start judging it just because they did the same thing the other companies did a few years later. Especially when nobody has seen the final board. I can honestly say, when Reed was designing a board with them we were riding them and give feed back and I said, tell them this is by far the best feeling board ive ever kickflipped. That board had so much pop and such a good rocker line it was sick. So I would not under estimate or judge something we havent ridin.
That is just my assesment on the situation. that we should embrace and encourage people and/or companies supporting wakeskating until we see all the facts, outcome, and final products, then decide.

I am going to have to agree with the Manzari brothers on this one(considering they are my brothers).

The only thing left to say is, i just lost a pretty good amount of respect for a few people.
