|
|
In 2003 Kampus Wakeskates introduced the K Series with the K39. In 2004 they added a bigger version in the K41 and sent us one to test ride. Now we know why Goerge Daniels choses to ride this deck.

Dave, so you do agree with the "limousine style" comment from the Kampus dealer?
I couldn't ride the K-41 on Sunday, but when I saw it I was like "Damn, it is 41 in. but what a nice surface area for my feet compared to my LF concave 43!". Also, its weight seemed perfect to me. Can't wait to test that skate. I have the intuition that it is made for me.

I didn't understand the "limousine style" comment. I don't know what he meant by that.
But as you can see from my review, I liked the board and thought it rode great. I would definitely take one for a test ride if you could. I think you would be surprised. |

All right, I took a ride out to another lake, and I tested this board. It is the win. It's cheap too, I might sell my Cassette for this board. |

It's the 2003 Cassette 3-D Concave board, 43 inches, red. I just don't feel right on it, and I feel fine on the Kampus. It was 140$, but it's got a few scratches on the bottom from where I let one of my littler cousins try it. And Kyle, the one in 2004 weighs 6.5 lbs instead of 6.3 and it's also two inches longer and black instead of red I think. |

Dave,
Could you post some pics of the skate, like some side profile and top and bottom and did you ride it with or without the kicktail kits? |

Dave,

Kyle 13 (and Morphine)-
The difference (besides the graphics) between last years k-series and this years k-series is this: We changed the shape of the corner cuts, and we stepped up the overall construction of the board (materials, sealant, etc.) Also, the k-series is offered in the original 39 inch length as well as a 41 inch length. Most of this info is available in Dave's review, and there is info on the Kampus website, as well. |

I might get this as a second board but what about the rocker it looks almost flat is the ride loose cause it looks like it would be a stiff ride. |
