I'm building a wakeskate with a buddy of mine, and it's pretty much all done, it just needs another coat of lacquer and the grip tape. Yesterday we noticed that the board is slightly warped. When I say slightly, I mean less than a centimeter. It's hard to explain the angle of warping, except that it's only on one end, and its sort of at a 45 degree angle to the rest of the board. Is this going to make any difference when I'm riding it? If so, is it worthwhile to finish the skate, or should we cut our losses and start over? Keep in mind that I'm relatively new to the sport, and I'm not looking for the perfect ride. |

So am I safe to assume that because nobody posted anything about this, the warping will not effect the ride? |

it's really difficult to make it completely symetrical, I think you won't notice a thing while riding it, you can ride practicaly anything that can float, so good luck. _________________ wakeskating is NOT a crime |

Ok, I just finished it up the other day. It turned out really nice. I put 4 LF .6 cupped fins on it, instead of 2 fins, and I pretty much love that. One thing I wish I would have done though, is make it thicker. It's only an 8 ply, so it's a little soft, and I'm wondering about how long it will last, but I guess time will tell. I'll put up pictures if I can find my camera. |

How thick did you make it? I useally use 3 sheets of Birch-triplex 4mm thick so it is only 12mm thick but its strong enough to make even the biggest jumps without breaking _________________ wakeskating is NOT a crime |

I used two sheets of Maple quadply. The whole thing is about 12 mm, so it's pretty close to what you're using. Hopefully it will work out well. |

Well, I'm not very consistent on my shuv-its anyways, but I think it makes it easier. Because the fins are smaller, they don't catch the water as easy, and they release faster. The cupping really only changes anything when I'm on edge. |
