electricsnow, thats what i thought when i was driving through orlando today. it is our land. its the most wakeskate friendly town around. now everytime i see "ORLANDO" i think of RLAND.

Yeah, i had just been poking around that website and that's when it made sense. At first I was just reading it as it was--RLAND and it didn't mean anything to me. But yeah, it seems like even though it's a wakeskating film, he's celebrating everything about orlando and its watersports history (especially if you're going way back to Mr. pope). i think it's awesome.

lake tarpon, ya that orange glow is burnt into the film where light hits it. You might be able to get somewhat the same effect if you use a pretty decent program to edit with.
The vid is going to be sick. I like the look of 16mm. Ive been shooting some 8mm recently just because the look is pretty damn awsome. Cant wait to see this vid.

wow seriously the best trailer Ive seen in a while it actually makes me want to buy the video. lately at the end of every video or trailer Ive watched my response has been "meh same old shizzle"

Yep, but you gotta figure that it's only a matter of time until someone creates a piece that is as timeless as Sfumato. I kinda hoped that something like this would come along sooner rather than later...just something where you could tell that someone put a hell of a lot of effort and thought into. It's just gorgeous. Can't wait to see the film.

the horrell quote is from a famous wakeskating video out there, and in the context it was used, I think it served as a bit of a warning to those who are more about wakeskating and nothing else, as opposed to the creativity and beauty that can be added to a video (in this case--which in itself is a work of art), which is not necessarily a wakeskate or a wakeskater, or anything having to do directly with wakeskating.

I remember I talked to this one guy who was a regional rider for LF at the time and he said that he watched linear perspective and was like "what did I just watch?"

its cool too see lake ivanhoe starting to pop up everwhere. this is where i learned to wakeskate from ryan byerly some 8 years on the original 45 cassette, it was grey if i remember correctly.
