che blanc, i agree, it's easy to SAY you believe something, or feel a certain way, but if that's all it is, "just words" then there's really nothing there.

che blanc, true, but sometimes we choose to take time to look up scripture reference for answers.... because we know that we'll probably say it wrong anyway... so we fall back on the word of God. cause like you said...

che blanc, hey now. i don't "think i'll say it wrong", what i mean is that if i am trying to tell someone what the bible said then i would rather think it thru, and check a scripture reference, than say it from myself.... but remember, i believe the bible to be the inerrant word of God, so i would prefer to quote that, than try to say it better myself..... but i will add words of wisdom for whoever i'm talking to, but only what's fitting to the situation.

che blanc, trying to answer your questions and explain who God is over the internet is very difficult. There has probably been times when I have sounded like a complete jerk. You are obviously very smart and have spent much time in thought over our existance. Using scripture to defend our religion will not work if you don't believe the Bible is the word of God and is 100% true. When someone says they have landed a new trick everyone wants proof (pics or video). I believe if you saw how my family functions (wife & 3 kids) you would see the joy we have from knowing God personally and say I want that, too. Actions speak louder than words. I apologize for any Christian you may have come in contact with that has misrepresented our faith with their actions. Keep asking questions and they will be answered, but not by me over the internet.

t-Rex, I don't know you, but you are in my prayers. Hang in there and don't give up on what God has called you to do. Youth pastors and chidrens ministers made a huge impact on my life when I was younger. Much respect.
