i was talking to a kid today who told me learning new tricks is easier while going slower, he said he gets a feel for them and gets comfortable and then speeds back up, does anyone else do this? is it even true? harder or easier going slower?

I don't really agree with that, when i first started i learned most of my tricks going about 20 miles an hour now i ride at 22, i wouldnt do it man because then in the long run it just makes your tricks harder to learn when going faster cause its alot different. but hey man whatever works for you i just wouldnt do it.

bb11, I had that same concept back in the day..... but to be honnest, riding faster makes learing and doing tricks easyer.... if anything, going slower just makes you "bogg" and have to force popping and huck tricks....

when I started riding I rode comfortible at 19 but now I ride at 23.... faster is better

i agree with above...going faster makes the water harder and i find you get more pop...when i go slow i feel the board drags in the water and when i pop a trick it usually ends up behind me.

because the cable constantlly is pulling you up. Which in reality makes landings alot easier.
