A couple skaters out there, James Balzer is another. Do some research there's a really good contest series ( hyperlite tour) that's always filled with lots of shredding and partying. There's a few camps around to. Summer sessions is one.

Good luck and have fun if you decide to go its awesome out there.

I'm in the Vancouver area. There's a handful of good skaters I'd say, not really a huge scene. On the tour mostly w2w stuff is graded highly, I competed pro this year and it was super fun. It's just fun to be there, doesn't matter if you do horrible people don't care, everyones stoked to be there. Hope your plans go well.

ryry, There most likley could be an event in the vancouver area around that time... either in a place called the deas slough for alber dyke, which are both quite close to Vancouver.... really depends on where in vancouver you are living, I mostly ride with Deepcove, he has a boat in Deep Cove, North Vancouver... this is ocean but some of the best water conditions you find early in the morning...

if you have your full licence in Auzzie land you should be fine.... but I dont know much about turist driving rules....

Ctipping, excuse me.... I know my way around the city quite well

i cant wait, going to be a great experience.
