Alright, I know that I sound like a little 10-year-old queer asking this, but I was wondering how long it took you guys to learn shuvits.
I landed my first one last weekend, (took about 12 tries total to land & ride away). So, I was just wanting to see how long it took other people to land them, since I was hoping that I would be a little bit above average since I do shuvits all the time on a skateboard.
And yes, I know that this post is really immature-sounding and reveals a lack of self esteem and a need to compare myself with other people, but hey, it's a frickin' message board! Nobody even knows who I really am! Hahahahahaha!! (just kidding about the evil laugh part, though). |

It actually took me a really long time, I don't know why, they just didn't come naturally to me or something. It took a lot of practice though; I'm not sure exactly how long. It was back when I first started getting into skateboarding--so are you trying to land a normal, backside pop-shuvit, or fakie, or off the nose, or what? I can give you some advice if you want. |

Just keep the handle into your hip, I guess. |

I land 360 shuvits on a skateboard constantly, but I put my front foot on the nose and lift the tail up. Since this is impossible on a wakeskate I still haven't managed to land one yet.... |

It took me a couple of sessions to land the shuvit on the wakeskate. On a skateboard I catch the bs/ shuvit with my front foot. On a wakeskate it's a little different. It's a little harder for me to get the pop and stay over the board on the wakeskate. it's much easier to just fling it around. Usually when I really try to get height, my back foot stops the rotation, not my front foot. |

i know a shuvit is a pretty basic trick in wakeskating, but it took me forever to learn how to do them when i first started and they were tough little mothers to ride away. But now after a lot of practise they seem like nothing _________________ Can't eat at McDonald's every day - Shannon Hoon |

I learned shuvits first on a skateboard, but not very well (still not consistant). I landed my first one on a wakeskate after probably 7 or 8 tries. Now i can land em behind the boat almost every try. I'm working on the 360 shuv also, i've just been kicking a harder ollie and spin, just exaggerating everything from the 180. |

shuvits took me forever to learn but after my first one i just did them over and over. then i got cocky and tried a 360 shuvit and missed the board on the landing _________________ √ |
